Question 07 : The conference hall of 750 sq m should have its own foyer, something that is not detailed in the floor areas in section 1. Normally the size of a foyer for a conference hall is the same as the hall itself, from where is it thought to take this area that evidently has not been calculated? The foyer of the museum even though it is only 580 sq m could be used in common with the foyer of the hall but in this case it would be impossible to use the museum and conference hall at the same time. Should the conference hall be able to be used independently from the museum?
Answer
Question 08 : On page 62 of the DPP it states that it is possible to produce a model at scale 1:200 and it is stated that this will not have a determining effect on the assessment, leaving it to the discretion of the participants as to whether to produce it or not. It is evident that, even though marks are not awarded for the 1:200 model it is practically impossible for the jury to not be influenced by this additional item. We ask therefore for a clear indication as to whether this element should be produced by everyone or not. We would also like to point out that the level of development of the design is to scale 1:500 with only extracts at 1:200, it would seem therefore very difficult to present a model at 1:200 that is not a simple enlargement of that at 1:500.
Answer
Question 09 : Should the material requested on digital media also be submitted in anonymous form? As far as we are concerned it is impossible to make all the files completely anonymous and would like to ask that the disk containing the files be inserted in the sealed envelope referred to in point 4.3.6 of the Competition Rules.
